Peter Chaiprakob, age 72 of Birmingham, passed away on December 31, 2011. Mr. Chaiprakob was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He passionately sought out the American dream by opening Chai's Store in Southside Birmingham over thirty-five years ago. He loved and gave generously and sacrificially to his family and community. He was loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Daranee Chaiprakob, his son Jeff Chaiprakob and his wife Fran, and 2 granddaughters, Reese and Edy Chaiprakob all of Birmingham, AL.
There will be a chapel service for Mr. Chaiprakob on Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, with a time of visitation to follow the service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
