

She was born in Pensacola, Florida, to Martha Julia (Mattie) and Joseph Baroco. She was the youngest of five children. She married Fred Lawson Acton in 1949, and made her home in Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by three children; Michael Frederick Acton (Patricia), Joseph Edward Acton (Annette), and Rosemarie Acton Putman (Joseph); Six grandchildren, Andy Acton (Elizabeth), Ben Acton (Rachael), Morgan Acton (Jordan), Joshua Putman (Ashley), Jacob Putman (Carol), and Reagan Bush; Eight great-grandchildren, Katie and Davis Acton, Nate Acton, Elijah, Ezekiel and Zephaniah Putman, Daniel and Anna Putman; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Rose was an amazing woman, a natural caregiver all her life. She cared about people, and hoped the best for them. She was a wonderful Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend. She was greatly loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial will be held on December 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road., Homewood, Alabama. Reception of friends and family shall be immediately after the service.
