Stanley Woodrow Dodd, age97 of Birmingham, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. Stanley was born May 9, 1918 to Ira Otha Dodd and Alice Alter Screws Dodd. He was a master carpenter and retired from Loveman’s after 37 years of service.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Norma Fleming Dodd, grandson Nathan Dodd and daughter Sue McCreary. He is survived by his children: Michael (Deidra) Dodd, Joyce (Bill) Thompson and Phillip (Pamela) Dodd, Jo (Nick) Vanover, Jan (Gary) Baker; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be at Ridout’s Valley Chapel on Thursday, October 8, 2015 beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside service at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Stanley Dodd should be made to your local food bank.
