Sue Ann was a graduate of Huffman High School, where she served as Student Body Vice President and was chosen by the faculty to be the 1976 Maiden – a person who represented the ideal Huffman Student. She went on to start her over 30-year career with AT&T, formerly Bellsouth. After retiring from AT&T, she became our favorite Pampered Chef consultant.
Sue Ann had a love for people, her family, problem solving, and cooking. Wherever she went she never met a stranger. She showed her love for others through acts of services. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious personality made everyone feel like family. She expressed her love most profoundly through food—whether it was a family favorite meal, a new recipe, snacks at the beach, or a tailgate feast, her kitchen was always open and her heart even more so. She lived a life of service, always putting others before herself.
An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching a variety of sports and could often be found cheering passionately for her favorite teams, her spirit as vibrant as the games she loved. But nothing brought her more joy than her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
Through every challenge, Sue Ann never wavered in her faith. Her unwavering belief in God was the foundation of her strength, and she lived her life as a testament to grace, compassion, and resilience.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025, at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood with visitation starting at 11am and Service at 12pm. Burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Food Bank of Central Alabama at www.feedingal.org, in honor of her generous spirit.
