Tracy Stewart Appleby, 58, of Birmingham, AL died Thursday, June 2, 2016. Tracy was born in Birmingham, AL on June 26, 1958, the daughter of Ann Moore Hammond and Robert Mickey Stewart. She was a graduate of Red Mountain High School and attended classes at UAB. She lived in Chattanooga, TN for 22 years with her ex-husband, Richard Appleby, where they raised their son, Sean Appleby (20).
Tracy was a lover of music of all kinds, photography and all animals. She was an avid Facebook poster. Life threw her many curves and yet she remained an optimist throughout her life. She never met a stranger and the many friends she had in life and on Facebook is a testament to this fact. She was a loving mother, a loyal friend, and dearly loved by everyone she knew. She will be remembered for her smile and laughter, her clever sense of humor, and her big heart.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Richard Appleby, her son, Sean Appleby, her mother, Ann Hammond, her sister, Travis Stewart Boline (Doug) and her brother, Mike Stewart, as well as nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, June 17th, at 1:00 pm at St. Peter’s Anglican at 3207 Montevallo Road in Mountain Brook. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Aletheia House (http://www.specialkindofcaring.org).
