Wiley Dennis Wood III

Wiley Dennis Wood, III, 34, died Friday March 23, 2012 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the son of Carol Lane Wood and Wiley Dennis Wood, III A native of Roanoke, AL, he graduated from Handley High School in 1996 where he was a member of the All-County Football Team. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama in 2000 where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Wiley was employed at PayScape Advisors and won the Paramount Award for outstanding sales and service. He was on the Founders Team and an enthusiastic volunteer for the charitable organization Alabama Forever. Wiley enjoyed a wide circle of friends from many walks of life, and had an avid love of the outdoors and life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. W.G.Wood, and Mr. James S. Lane. He is survived by his parents, and his grandmother, Mrs. James S. Lane, many cousins and dear friends. Although he was an only child, he loved and was loved as another brother by his many cousins.

The visitation is scheduled at 9 and the service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday March 26 at Riverchase United Methodist Church. A graveside service is planned at Cederwood Cemetery in Roanoke, AL at 3 p.m.
