William, known to most as Billy, was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 1975 then went on to study and receive his Bachelor of Science from Samford University. He continued his studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he opened a private practice in Homewood and continued to practice dentistry for 35 years. In 1984 he met his wife, Dyan Broughton Staub. They were married on December 6, 1986 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Birmingham, AL and were three weeks shy of their 34th wedding anniversary.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dyan Staub, his son, three daughters,and their children: Tyler Staub (wife Allison, their children Anna-Grace and Emalyn), Shelby Waid (husband John, their children Jolene and Leighton), Abbey Flores (husband Paul, their child Paul Jr.), Regan Kreizinger (husband Luke), along with remaining family and friends.
Billy had two brothers, Edwin John Staub III, known as Eddie, and Robert Huie Staub, known as Bobby. Billy was a loving child to his parents Teleete Frawley Staub and Edwin John Staub Jr.
The funeral service will be held on November 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 2061 Patton Chapel Road, Birmingham, AL. The graveside burial will be private for the family and officiated by Reverend Joshua M. Altonji. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent in his memory to either Eagle Ranch or The Foundry.
