On Friday, June 25, 2021, Charles P. “Chuck” Webster, Jr., loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 83. Chuck was born on February 12, 1938, in Port Limon, Costa Rica, to Thelma (Johnson) and Charles P. Webster, Sr. On July 7, 1958, he married Betty Joyce Wright, and they raised two sons, Chuck and Jim, and one daughter, Kim. Chuck adored his wife - in high school, prior to dating and after committing the offense of getting Betty in trouble with the school principal, he famously informed her that they would get married one day.
He was well known for his easy-going and kind nature, and he was generous with both his compliments and his time. He had life-long passions for nature and fitness. He doted on his animals (including, in his later years, his bird Sunny and his dog Tank).
His hobbies included spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening, raising bees, lifting weights, and studying history. His family remembers many nights listening to his stories by a campfire and countless thoughtful conversations over the years.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father and mother and his brother Daniel. He is survived by his wife Betty, his three children, Chuck Webster (Kelly), Jim Webster (Denise), and Kim McGovern (Dennis), and his grandchildren Charles IV, Jessica, Keri, Tara, Jena, Julie, Tiffany, Amanda, Dennis, Danielle, Anna, Mike, and 11 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10, 2021, at 11:00 am at Nature Coast Church, 5113 S. Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, Florida.
