Frances V. Stephens, age 87, of Homosassa, passed away July 21, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in the hospice unit. She was born on September 23, 1926 in Dunnellon, FL to the late Keeptler C. and Annie (Phelps) Sandlin. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Harry and a son Richard Strickland. Frances attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Homosassa Springs and was a lifelong resident of Homosassa. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Dale (Ester) Strickland, Donald (Donna) Strickland, a daughter, Frances Stafford, grandchildren, Dale (Heidi) Strickland, Theresa (Michael) Herrin, Karen Clevenger, Les Strickland, Jeff (Joanne) Ward, Lisa Ward, David (Wendy) Smith, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A funeral has been scheduled for Thursday July 24, 2014 at 1:00pm at Wilder Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the funeral home before the service.Arrangements under the direction of Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL.
