

Frank J. Registrato, 82, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Fri., Feb. 16, 2024 at HPH Hospice Citrus Care Center in Lecanto, FL. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was born Aug. 9, 1941 to Joseph and Millie (Alesci) Registrato, one of three children. Frank served his country honorably and proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1966 to 1968 as a heavy equipment operator soldier. His military experience led him to employment for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as an instructor in heavy equipment operations. From 1969 to 1994, Frank was a construction site manager for a number of construction companies. He moved to Homosassa 28 years ago from Margate, FL and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa. An avid coin collector, Frank was a founding member of the Citrus County Coin Club and a member of American Legion Post #166 in Homosassa. He was also a past member of VFW Post #8189 and the B.P.O.E. (Elks Club). A gifted and talented woodworker, Frank was known to make fine furniture and even birdhouses. He loved gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Registrato was preceded in death by his brother Joseph (and his wife June) Registrato, and a son-in-law, Dennis P. Lord, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Margaret Registrato of Homosassa; children Debbie Campbell (husband Jason), also of Homosassa; Michelle Lord of Fort Pierce, FL, and Frank E. Registrato (spouse Luis) of Arvada, CO; grandchildren Kelli, Michael, Sebastian and Elle Scot, and beloved great granddaughter Olivia and great niece Josie Jane; brother Rudi Registrato (wife Deirdre) of Daytona, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thurs., Feb. 22, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 AM at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, where a Celebration of Life will commence at 11:30 A.M. with Rudi Registrato officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, Frank’s family requests that memorial contributions in his name be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers, or HPH Hospice at www.chaptershealth.org
