Lawrence Benard Steigele

Lawrence Benard Steigele, 91, of Crystal River, FL, passed away on Sun., Jan. 7, 2024 at his home. A native of Hicksville, L.I., N.Y., Lawrence was born March 8, 1932 to Frank and Clara (Schmidt) Steigele, one of three children. Mr. Steigele enjoyed a long career as a route salesman for Wonder Bread in New York and moved here in 1991 from Long Island. Lawrence was Roman Catholic by faith, enjoyed working outdoors on his property, riding his tractor and especially loved his evening snacks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carole; his son Tommy, and his brothers Walter and Frankie. Lawrence is survived by his children Larry (wife Joan), Johnny (wife Diane), Carol (husband Charlie), Deborah (husband John), Barbara and Jennifer (husband Peter), all of Florida; grandchildren Larry of New York, Kevin, Christine, Johnny, Amanda, Robert, Jessica, Michael, David, Rachel and Sarah, all of Florida; Heather of Missouri and Brooke of The Bahamas; great grandchildren Troy, Danielle, Bridgette, Devin, David, Jean Ann, Nikki, A.J., Taylor, Skylar, Robert, Alaina, Kiersten, Thomas, Collin, Brent, Thomas, Angelina, Ben, Lucas, Noah, Dominic, Mia, Peyton, Colton, Ethan, Jason, Jamilah and Jamari and great great grandchildren Adriana, Amina and Brea. Interment with his late wife Carole will be held at Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa, FL on Sat., Jan. 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.
