

Anuilagi Amituana'i Poloa, age 99, of Nanakuli passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024. She was born on October 24, 1924 in Malaeloa and raised in Faga'alu American Samoa to Fa'afuata Amituana'i and Etuati Amituana'i. In 1961, Anuilagi relocated to Oahu with her family and settled in Nanakuli, where she resided ever since.
A seamstress by trade, she dedicated her life to her family and will be fondly remembered for her skillful cooking and sewing, which brought joy to all who knew her. She will always be a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and will be dearly missed. Anuilagi's dedication to her family and community was evident in her unwavering support and kindness.
She is predeceased by husband Teofilo Poloa, and her son, Teofilo Jr. Poloa. She is survived by sons, Billy (Jennifer), Bobby, Henry (Mitsi) and daughters, Susan (Francois), Glorieana (Frank), Margaret, Ida (Rusty) and Virgie (Emanuel); 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on June 24, 2024 at Borthwick Mortuary, between 4:00 PM - 8 PM (Immediate family only- viewing at 4 PM - 4:30 PM, Public visitation 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Service/Family Program/Dinner 5:30 PM - 8 PM), Burial held on June 25, 2024 at 8:30am at the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
