Sonny lived a long life grounded in family, hard work, and the simple things he enjoyed most. He dedicated 36 years to HC&D, LLC (formerly Ameron Hawaii, LLC) and took pride in his work.
He enjoyed traveling—especially to Las Vegas—and found joy in golfing, fishing, and bowling, often sharing those moments with loved ones.He will be remembered for his quiet strength, fun-loving spirit, and love for family—especially time spent together. Always up for anything, he happily embraced new experiences. Known for fixing just about anything, he always found a way.
Sonny was preceded by his beloved wife, Susie Ingraham Claonan. He is survived by his three children, Gilmore (Blanche) Claonan, Sharon (Herbert) Kauhane, and Brian (Tina) Claonan; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
