Margaret Park Smith

MARGARET "MARGIE" PARK SMITH, 94, of Honolulu, died peacefully in her sleep at home. Born on 11/05/1917 in Honolulu, she was one of three children born to Emily McKeague and Tai Kum Park, and was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Smith. She has joined her husband, who has waited 28 years to be reunited with her. Margaret was feisty, fun-loving and independent, and she loved to do things “her way.” She was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her smile and easy laughter will be greatly missed. She retired from Kaiser Hospital where she was employed in the kitchen and specialized in making delicious salads and desserts for her fellow employees.

Survived by children, George (Cindy) Smith, Maxine (Patrick) Smith-Sullivan and Michael (Aulani) Smith; grandchildren, Clifford (Merlin) Smith, Melaca (David) Cannella, Kerry Kam, Mikela, Keone, Kelikina and Hauoli Smith; great-grandchildren, Jared and Leinaala Smith, Alyssa, Brooke and Carlee Cannella, Kaimana, Iokepa and Kahiau Souza, and Blair Nahale-Smith.

Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday, 4/26/2012, at Holy Trinity Church (5919 Kalanianaole Hwy); Mass 10 a.m. with committal to follow at 11:30 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Casual attire is suggested
