I am enjoying every photo I see here.  Thank you for sharing them.  I joined Michael's class at Cal Poly-Pomona for Winter Quarter, 1976.  Michael and Yetta graciously allowed their apartment to be used for assembling a team project for a Henry Kordus class.  I did most of the graphics for that.  Henry loved the result.  In the early 1980s, Michael and I corresponded with a few hand-written letters.  I will always cherish them, and remain impressed with the style of his lettering.  I was too busy in Nashville, TN to visit, and have remained so.  There were three Vietnam vets in that class.  Recently, while John Crandell was having many polyps removed, Mike Peterson died from leukemia.  That's when I figured I better check on Michael too, and sadly found out he was already gone without any of us knowing.  I hope Yetta treats herrself well, because that's what  Michael  would want.

Dear Yetta, Linda and I were shocked to hear of Mike's illness and then of his passing.  We enjoyed seeing you both at many LRRP/RANGER reunions. Both Mike and you made us feel welcomed.  Mike was a hard working and thoughtful human being.  He will always be remembered and not forgotten by many who knew him and appreciated his life.
His dedication to his family, country and the association will never be forgotten.  May you find peace in the future, for the pain will subside as time goes on. Our condolences,

My condolences to Michael's family on his passing.  Shamefully, I never met any of you, but Michael and I have done various projects together over the past 30 years but it wasn't until the last project we got to really know each other better and what we shared.  

He was a great person and I know he enjoyed the support his family provided in his career and life.

While he has perhaps gone, I will always remember his friendship and will be reminded of him when I see his many projects.  He truly will be missed.
