Stafford dedicated 38 years of service to the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education and at various state offices, impacting many through his commitment and hard work. In addition to his professional career, he served as an Assistant Pastor at the Gospel of Salvation Church, where he found great joy in ministering to others and sharing his faith.
He is survived by wife Linda; children Dawn Nagatani (Mark Gregory), Faith Hashiro (Reyn Hashiro), and Jon Nagatani; and grandchildren Kylie, Jenna, and Emma. His kindness, humility, and devotion will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea/Vineyard Chapel on February 27 at 5:00 p.m., with service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Private burial to follow at a later date.
