Betty Jo Edwards McLaughlin

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday May 30th at Hope Mills Church of God (4830 Cameron Rd, Hope Mills, NC) by Rev Tim Gore. Visitation will be prior from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

Mrs. McLaughlin is preceded in death by her husband John C. McLaughlin Sr, brother Benny Edwards, and Grandson Jeffrey Bergman.

She is survived by her children Vicki Blackwell (Eugene), Debbie Galvan (Jose), Joni Wood (Bill), Colon McLaughlin (Tonya); her grandchildren Sabrina Blackwell (Jason), Marvin Blackwell (Samantha), Angela Wood (Carey), Gerald Wood Jr, Ashley Dulin, Marcus Bergman (Desiree), Ryan Bergman, Kyle Bergman (Jessika);her sisters Patricia Miller, Barbara Lashley (Eddie), Linda Tharp (Harry); her 11 great grandchildren, and many other family and church members.

She loved many things but was known for a paper towel in hand and a phone to her ear.

Let us celebrate the life of Betty, who cared for others more than for herself. She was beloved by her family, church, and community due to her sympathy and compassion for others. She will be missed.
