

Clarence was a loving, man who was selfless right up until the end. He was professional musician and loved playing the keyboard and guitar. He was a gentleman through and through. He treated every lady who crossed his path with the utmost respect. Clarence was never seen unless he was dressed to the absolute nines. His outfits always matched, and they always drew attention. ABOVE ALL, He was a Christian.
Apostle is survived by his wife, Ann Danzy-Smith; his children, Conswallea Fields Parker (Christopher), Prentice Allen, Clarence Fields, and Tamika Taylor; his grandchildren, Prentice, Aziyah, Taylor, Christopher, Jmarus, Starasia, Makia, Davion, Angel, and Faith; his brothers, John Smith Jr. (Mickey), Ernest Smith, Johnny Patterson (Sheila); and his sister, Janet McMillian; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery in Spring Lake, North Carolina.
