Mrs. Evelyn "Sister" Sweatt Yarborough, age 94, passed away June 8, 2020. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a strong, Godly woman who welcomed everyone. She was also known as the beloved Matriarch of five generations.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Betty, Larry, Lovella, Lois, and Ricky; twenty Grandchildren including Bonnie, John, Yvonne, Warren, and Keith that she raised as her own; forty-seven Great-grandchildren, and seven Great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Magdalene and Cleve, her late husband Levon Yarborough, her sons Albert and Major, her daughter Peggy, and all seven of her siblings.
The service for Evelyn “Sister” will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 1 PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC. The burial will follow at Northside Cemetery in Fayetteville, NC.
