

On Friday, January 10, 2025, James Melton Faddis, of Hope Mills, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67 surrounded by family. Jim will be reunited in Heaven with his best friend and wife of 47 years, Kimberly Ann Faddis. Born in Laurel, Maryland, he was the son of the late Robert Vernon Faddis and the late Iris Greene Faddis. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service and was a Persian Gulf War veteran. He continued working in his area of expertise as a government contractor for 25 years. After retiring, Jim was employed by the Fayetteville Woodpeckers which allowed him to work while enjoying his lifelong passions of baseball and community. He was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge where he achieved the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, the highest honor that can be given to a member of this Fraternity. This was awarded to him for his service and sacrifice for Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and humanity.
Jim will forever be remembered by his loving children Nikki and Tony Watterson and Trisha and Bobby Lee, his grandchildren Kayla and Stephen Huff, Kori and Luther Cummings, James and Krystle Watterson, and Olivia Lee, and his great grandchildren Kimberly Brooke and Lucas James. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of two more great grandchildren Nichole Faith and Cheyenne Lynne. He will also be remembered by his sister Jeannie Ridinger and family. Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Adair Faddis and his brothers Butch, Rick, Jerry, and Jack Faddis.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. Followed immediately by a funeral service at 1 p.m.
