He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Faye Crewe. He will be deeply missed by his two sons, Danny and Steven Crewe, two grandchildren, Jeremy Crewe (Brittany) and Ashlee Crewe and four great grandchildren Taylor, Rylee, Kennedy and Millie Crewe.
Joseph met his wife Faye while playing minor league baseball for the Phillies, in Pulaski, Virginia. He swept her off her feet and they were soon married. Joseph served in the U.S. Army. SSG Crewe served a tour in the Vietnam War with the Special Forces Group (SFG). He retired after 22 years in the service going to work for Bullard Furniture Company. He really enjoyed playing golf and was a course champion at Hope Mills Golf Course. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
