Mr. Julius Ellington Davis of Dunn died Monday October 19, 2015 at his home. He was born September 29, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Colonel Ellington and Tessie Tart Davis. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Shelton Davis, a grandson, Brandon Davis, and a brother, Larry Davis. J.E. was part owner and operator of Davis Fabrication and owner Dunn Welding Company for many years in addition to working with Burlington Industries and T. Ralph & Sons. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Linda Moore Davis of the home, sons and daughters, Richard Colonel Davis, Karen Strickland, Jeremy Ellington Davis, Angela Corbett, and Neil Edward Parker Jr., brother, Sammy Davis and sister Mary Alice Ralph Penny. He is also a Grandfather to many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and visitors at the home.
