Kathy Lane Williford, age 67 of Springview Trail, Garner, departed this life on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh after battling health issues as a result of diabetes. Kathy was born on July 5, 1950 in Dunn, North Carolina to the late Henry Dawson Williford and the late Avis Hawley Williford. Kathy graduated from Midway High School in 1968 and was a graduate of Peace College and East Carolina University. She was a teacher of gifted children in the Wake County Schools.
Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memories a foster son, Terry Hendrix and several cousins: Graham Hairr of Raleigh, Wallace Wade Dixion of Raleigh, Janice Williford Trollinger of Greensboro, and Delores Willingford Blake of Greensboro.
Kathy Lane Williford was privately laid to rest in the Spring Branch Cemetery near her parents.
