Born in Chios, Greece, she immigrated to the United States in 1978. While living in Niles, Ohio, she met her husband to be, Shawn Rusbacky right before he enlisted in the US Army in 2002. Shawn was then stationed in Hawaii for 8 years and that is when Barb fell in love with Hawaii. She loved the beach and everything about Hawaii.
Upon leaving Hawaii, they moved to Hope Mills, North Carolina where she would take trips to New Jersey to spend time at the beach with her sister Vivian Karsos and nieces, Maria and Katie.
Mrs. Barb Rusbacky was survived by her husband Shawn Rusbacky, daughter Alexis(kiki), son Sebastian(Savva) as well as extended family from New Jersey and Ohio.
