Daughter of Oscar McCormick and Margaret & Benny Stonecypher, Betty Sue was born June 05, 1946. On September 14, 1961, at the age of 15, she married the love of her life, Clay Henthorn. She spent her days as a homemaker until his untimely death in 1977. Afterwards, she moved her children to Texas where she worked at Randolph Office Furniture for several years and eventually married Ron Price in 1995.
Energetic, boisterous, and a lover of the color purple, Betty Sue was always quite the unique personality to be around. The gatherings which she hosted were always loud and full of laughter. She was flirtatious til the end, always loved to have a good time, and was a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands Clay Henthorn & Ron Price; her siblings which include Charlie Lamb for whom she cared dearly for many years; and her childhood best friend, Lorna Hood, who was regarded by the family over the years as both a sister and an aunt.
She is survived by her children, Royce Henthorn (Eva), George Henthorn, Margaret Henthorn, Charles Henthorn (Hope), Tammy Parker (Randy), and Lisa Cook; her grandkids Crystal Henthorn, Courtney Parker, Kendra Staggs (Kainan), Rusty Cook (Ariel), Zac Henthorn (RayDawn), Zane Henthorn, Taylor Henthorn, Randi Beard (Ethan), Anthony Brown, James Henthorn, Toni Henthorn, Alex Henthorn, Julea Henthorn; Her great-grandkids Kanbry Staggs, Rainie Nutt, Alli Staggs, Peyton Staggs, Kenslee Johns, Aislyn Cook, Kaddo Staggs, Winston Brown, LynnLeigh (LeeLee) Beard, and two more on the way; her sister-in-law Gloria McCormick; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Cook, Randy Parker, Zane Henthorn, Zac Henthorn, James Henthorn, and Ethan Beard.
Visitation service will take place on Wednesday, November 29th, from 5pm-7pm in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home.
