Betty Lou Williams passed away at 96 years of age on January 12, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Betty was born in Hot Springs on October 14, 1929, to the late Charles C. Smith and Edith Marie (Smith) Gurske. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and retired from Burton-Eisele Clinic after twenty-three years. She volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital for eleven years.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, LA Williams, daughter Susan Diane Walbert, and daughter-in-law Ruth Ellen Haight.
Surviving family members include sons Robert Duke Haight of Hot Springs, AR, Roger Byron Haight and daughter-in-law Sharla Haight of Owasso, OK, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother Robert Bruce Smith and several nieces and nephews.
