

He was a member of Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church. He achieved 32nd Degree Mason, and was a member of Lodge 62. Ed served as the president of the Hot Springs Boys Club Board and the Hot Springs Optimist Club. He was a Captain on the Hot Springs Fire Department. He owned AAA TV Service and was employed at Central Auto Sales.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Hancock, Delma Randles, and Louise Steadman; and brothers, J.B. and Curtis McKnight.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy; son Wesley (Melanie) McKnight; grandchildren, Darbie (Meng) Wang and Emma McKnight; sister, Vivian Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Ed’s Life will take place at Gross Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15th, at 10:30. Visitation will be one hour prior. Officiants will be Rev. Chad Owens and Bro. David Roark.
Pallbearers are Ralph Wacaster, Russ Wacaster, Dennis Stear, James Ingram, Denis Avery, and Mark Rash. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Stevens, Tom Smitherman, Blake and Spencer Buttrum, James Wacaster, Eddie Steadman, members of the Hot Springs Fire Department, employees of Central Auto Sales, Dr. Fred Heinemann, Dr. Mike Bodemann, and Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church.
