He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and the Garland County Road Department.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby (Diffee) Small, his daughters Debbie Gaither (Charles) of Hot Springs and Becky Clark (Rod) of Des Moines, IA; his son Randy Small (Melissa) of Collierville, TN; his sister Estalene Hunt (Emual); his brother Dewey Small (Linda); 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers include Andew Morris, Rod Clark, Eric Louton, Mark Diffee, Scotty Diffee and Aaron Pate.
Honorary pallbearers are Terry Diffee, Rodney Burton, Shirley Tabor, Nancy Louton, Chuck Watson and Skylar Cockrum.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at Gross Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 pm Friday at Gross Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Murphree officiating. Burial will be at Beaton Cemetery at Bismarck, AR.
