I am just now learning that Elaine died several months ago.  I am the daughter of Clifford and Lillie Ryan (both deceased).  Elaine's mother and my dad were related.  My sister, Ida McGinnis, and I, as children, called her LeeAnn.  She was 7 years older than I.  My birthdate is 05-07-1932, and address is 7770 W 38th Ave, #308, Wheat Ridge, CO  80033.  Love to all.  (I spoke one time with Karen.)

Things I know according to Lorrie.

She loved me, she loved me even when I wasn't very lovable and even though I didn't love myself.

She took me in every summer, lots of weekends and taught me life could be different. She would get my cousins and me up at 7 am almost every morning and took us swimming almost every afternoon.
She taught us how to eat healthily, do chores and watch The Gong Show, Dialing for Dollars & Days of Our Lives.

She let us play air guitar and listen to Cat Scratch Fever way too loud.

We picked blackberries, peaches, apples and worked in the garden.... it never seemed like work.

We tramped through the woods, raised baby turtles, melted army men and blew up more than our fair share of fireworks.
Oh her poor dog, who was named Boomer, he was terrified of thunder and our fireworks....poor dog I'm sure he was so happy when summer was over.

She was a God-fearing woman who prayed satan away from us (her family) more times than we know.
I was with her a lot, from a very young age. She took me to church, taught me to pray and helped to guide me every chance she got and she might have whooped my hind end a few times.

I remember throwing up in Wal-Mart and her taking her shirt off to catch it, stepping in a mud puddle in the Kmart parking lot (it ate my church shoe) and her also never yelling at me or making me feel dumb.

She is proof that the love of a good praying woman can help Jesus reach the soul of a man. He was changed because of her steadfast love. It might have been too late for him to make right or change every earthly relationship but because of her love and his obedience, we will see him again too.

She was my earthly rock and she taught me about my heavenly rock. She reminded me of the promises I made and was proud of me as a mom.

I hope these words give you a gimps of my view of Mamalaine.
While I will miss her, all I can be is thankful for her.

Elaine has been part of my extended “in-law” family for over 37 years. I can say in all the time that I have known her that I never once heard her speak a negative word about anyone at all. She is one of the sweetest and most genuine people you could ever meet. I say is because I know of her love for Jesus, and I know that even though we cannot see her any more this side of glory, she is now more alive than she has ever been and stands in the very presence of her Savior. 

Elaine will be missed by all who knew her. She was a lovely kind sweet and always giving special lady She was a neighbor to my Mom and always good to her.  I am so blessed to have known her , Prayers and love to her family and may they find peace knowing she has been welcomed to Heaven by  others who have gone before. We will miss eating fish with her and her always sweet smile.
