A private graveside service was held for Jim Breeding, age 80, on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston, LA with Reverend Teddy Frye officiating.

Jim was born to the late Luel Leroy Breeding and Mildred Chapman Breeding, He passed away on August 09, 2019.

After graduation from Pineville High School in Pineville, LA, Jim proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. After his years of service, Jim returned to LA to earn a degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, where he was a member of the TKE fraternity.

It was at the university that Jim met Jo Ann Knotts of the Wesley Chapel Community in Ruston, LA. After two years of courtship, they were married in 1962 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Together they raised four wonderful children.

As a young boy, and in the summers as he matured, Jim would accompany his father, a construction superintendent, on various construction projects. This began his lifelong career in construction where he advanced from water boy to company president. As a member of the Associated General Contractors, Jim served as president of the Shreveport, LA chapter.

Following retirement, Jim and Jo Ann made their home in Hot Springs Village, AR.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Catherine Denee Breeding; his sister, Patsy Ann Breeding; and his brothers, Richard Luel Breeding and Michael Andrew Breeding.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Knotts Breeding; his children, Steven Lamar Breeding (Barbara), James Joel Breeding, Patricia Ellen Fouts and Barbara Lee Abadie, and his six grandchildren.
