He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Angie Sue Powell, brothers Freddie Powell, Sedrick Powell, Harles Powell, Ronnie Powell, and sister Hazel Riggs.
He is survived by loving wife Esther Powell, daughters Doris (Bobby) Harris of Iowa, Jannie Reyes of Royal, stepsons Robert Geoffraion of Louisiana, Benard Geoffraion of Arizona, Barry Geoffraion of Arkansas, grandchildren Seth Harris, Joseph Harris, Micah Harris, Hailey Reyes, Kade Hernandez, Pleaz Powell, numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and sister in law Alice Powell.
