Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Sedrick and Laverne Powell, and his brother, Allen Powell.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Powell (Sharon); nieces, Crystal Oliver and Tara Hauser (Kyle); great-nephew, Chance Oliver; and numerous cousins.
Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. After his service, he had a career in construction. In his free time, he enjoyed the tranquility of fishing. Despite his busy life, Jimmy cherished his family and made sure to attend every gathering.
As per Jimmy's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
