Mrs. Lucille Brim Smith, of Mountain Pine, Arkansas completed her earthly journey and was promoted on to her heavenly course Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 in her 85th season. She was born December 7th, 1930 in Dalark, Arkansas to the late Mac Henry and Arillo Gray Brim. She spent all of her adult life in Mt. Pine, a community she loved and respected. She would dedicate some 25 years of service to Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company. You could often hear her say “Pray more, Talk less”; Lucille had a deep faith in God, loving to witness to people regularly. All were welcome in her garden. She always grew more than enough and her family will forever remember all that was harvested. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Columbus Smith Sr; children, Columbus Smith Jr, and Vera L. Smith; and 9 of her siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Michael Smith Sr (Doris), of Oklahoma City, Sharon Jordan (PJ), of Pine Bluff, Gary Smith (Shonna) of Russellville and Kevin Smith (Tryla) of Fort Smith; daughter-in-law, Norma Smith Williams; her sister, Dorothy Tucker; sister-in-law, Sandra Brim; and two brothers-in-law, Floyd Stephens and Charlie Wiley. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-greatgrandchild. Several nieces and nephews will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends and comfort from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday November 18th, 2016 in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home. We will celebrate her life at 12:00 PM, Saturday at Eureka Baptist Church, where Dr. Steve R. Lake will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at the Mountain Pine Community Cemetery.
