Lynette Cornell

She was born July 7th, 1939 in Beirne, Arkansas to father Jason Shackelford and mother Frances Jackson Shackelford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Cornell Sr., her parents, daughter Sandra and son-in-law Steve McBride, step-daughter Betty, brother Jr. Shackelford, sister Carolyn (Paul) Thornton.

She is survived by grandson Kevin McBride; step-children Ed Cornell Jr., Linda Bettis, and Debbie Cornell; and two sisters, Mona (Clayton) Ashlock and Betsy (Joe) Riley.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Lynette was a homebody who loved taking care of her family and keeping an immaculate home. She took care of her mother until her death. She loved painting crafts and her two favorite cats, Sam and Sunshine. Playing Skip-Bo with her mother and sisters was a favorite pastime.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs under the direction of Gross Funeral Home.
