
Marilyn Joann Weston, 79, died on March 17, 2022, in Lewisville, Texas after a lengthy illness. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Marilyn’s life at the graveside memorial service 3:00pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Marilyn grew up in Hot Springs where she was born on October 14, 1942. She attended Hot Springs High School where she met and married her husband of 40 years, Elroy. She moved to Texas in 2006, where she attended Temple Baptist Church for a number of years where she made many friends. She had a life-time health battle as a Type I Diabetic. Despite many challenges and difficult seasons, she demonstrated a resilient spirit that empowered her to overcome many challenges. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, arts and crafts and especially dancing with Elroy and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Myra and Gibson Bearfield, and her husband, Franklin Elroy Weston.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Weston Greenwood, and her husband John Mark Greenwood, her four grandchildren, Ashley Ziegler and her husband James, John and his wife, Lexie, Luke and Matthew, her sister, Betty Rhodes, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
