Teresa Rae Nooner died Saturday, December 28, 2024. She was 73 years old. Born July 7, 1951 in Port Townsend, Washington to Dayton Odell Nooner, Sr. and Margaret W. Nooner, Teresa was a loving daughter, sister and aunt.
Teresa was a graduate of Hot Springs High School, class of 1969. She was a Nurses Aide at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. Teresa enjoyed crocheting shawls and afghans for the people she loved. An avid reader, she had a large collection of bookmarks. She would often be found working 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles while listening to her large collection of Elvis records. She was always happy to babysit her nieces and nephews and then her great nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Oaklawn Fillies Red Hat Society and the Class of '69 reunion group.
Teresa was predeceased by her parents, sister Linda J. Edwards, and nephews Michael J. Edwards, Micheal D. Nooner and Brian A. Nooner. Survivors include sisters Judith A. Kirton and Karil M. Gaut; brothers D.O. Nooner, Jr. (Lis) and Mike Nooner (Joyce); eight nieces and nephews, Bobby Kirton (Sarah), Dayton O. Nooner, III (Jackie), Victoria Ozimek (Brian), Elayna Edwards Magee, Deanna Edwards Campbell, Shannon Nooner, Andy Mahfouz, and Nathan Gaut; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow the service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andy Mahfouz, Nathan Gaut, Stewart Magee, Seth Burris, and Kyden Robertson.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Gross Funeral Home.
A rosary will be resided at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10:30 am on January 3, 2025 prior to the mass.
