William “David” Parker, 61, of Hot Springs, AR passed away on April 1, 2025 at CHI St. Vincent. He was born on May 19, 1963 to Gene and Mary Nell Parker. He was a proud alumni of Lakeside High School, class of 1981.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Betty, and his nephew Jeff Parker.
Survivors include his children Dylan Parker, Jake Parker (Priscilla), Laken Harrell (Austin), and Brady Parker. Also included are his grandchildren Bella, Wyatt, Anna, Eli, Braylen, Lexi, Brycen, Maddox, Tryston, Emmersyn, and Bentley. David is also survived by his siblings Gene Jr. (Angela), Jerry (Jody), and Kathy (Lloyd), multiple nephews, niece, great-nephews, and great-niece. Last, but not least, he is survived by his beloved pup, Ruby Gene.
David always had a story to tell, and he never met a stranger. He spent his last few years as the owner at Parker’s Country Corner, where he loved meeting new people and building new relationships with his community. David always had a corny dad joke to share, but never failed to laugh at himself before completing the punch line. He loved spending sunny Sunday afternoons riding his Harley, or spending a weekend in the deer stands where he probably did more “resting his eyes” than he did hunting. But most importantly, David loved cheering on his grandchildren. Whether it was a basketball game, a t-ball game, a wrestling tournament, or a dance recital, you knew Geepaw was going to be there.
A celebration of life will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8th. The visitation will begin at 4pm, with a service following at 5pm.
