Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S. Hollywood Rd. Houma, LA.

An Angel of Light came and sealed the lips of our beloved one, Andrew Garner, Jr., on February 12, 2025, at Chateau Napoleon Caring Facility, in Napoleonville, LA.

He accepted the Lord Savior Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at St. Luke Baptist Church, by the late Rev. Harrison Gary.

He was very skilled and talented man. He was self-employed and owner as the Floor Man.

He leaves behind to cherish his legacy and memories: his children, Ivy Garner, Mitzi Garner-Henry (husband, Carl), Kenneth Garner, Michael Garner (wife, Shawn), Sicily Garner, and Kiki Garner; three sisters, Marion Garner Haynes, Chester Mary Crockette, and Margaret Smith Mitchell; one brother, Sidney Smith, Jr.; eight grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Andrew Garner, Sr. and Beulah “Honeybee” Calloway Joseph; two grandchildren, Kenneth “Kenny Boo” Garner, Jr. and Keronn Garner, five sisters, Gustavia Garner Porche, Olivia Garner Smith, Elouise Garner Joseph, Onetia Garner Celestin, and Beulah Garner Henry; one brother, Richard Garner; his maternal grandparents, Oliva Hawkins Calloway and George Calloway, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, James “Jim” Garner and Josephine Courteaux Garner; and his maternal great-grandparents, Dorcas “Momma Dot” Smith Hawkins and Dave Hawkins, Sr. and Lucy Matthews Calloway and Victor Calloway.
