Azalee Townsend

Ms. Azalee Townsend was a loving sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She would spend her time baking delicious cakes for her friends and family. She was a faithful member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board. Azalee was a graduate of Southdown High School class of 1962.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church 100 Hialeah Avenue Houma, Louisiana. Burial to follow service in St.Luke Baptist Church Cemetery Waterproof, Louisiana.

She will be remembered in the hearts of her loving sister Eula T. Calloway (Percy) of Houma,La; her Godchildren, Jordan Bolden of Houma, LA, Tyler Guidry of Baton Rouge, LA, and Toby Brooks Ponchatoula, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Townsend and Hazel H.Townsend; her siblings, Clifford Townsend Jr., James Townsend, Margaret T. Guidry, Mary T. Walls, Lizzie Townsend, and Louella Walker.
