Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 9:00AM until funeral time at 11:00AM at Morning Star Baptist Church 106 Bruille Guillot Rd., Thibodaux, LA 70301. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Gaines, Sr., and sons; Raymond Young, Sr., Burnell Young, Sr., Frederick Young, Sr. and Corey Young Sr. Daughters; Joyce Young Williams; Samantha Young Tillman; Germaine Young Caldwell; Keena James and Kaina James Boyd and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertie Young and Lillie Mae Young and daughter, Hope Young. Brother; Edward Young and sisters; Dorothy Johnson and Gertie Mae Young. Grandson; O'Bryan Young and granddaughter; Harmony Young.
