Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at New Zion Baptist Church located at 401 Grand Caillou Road in Houma, LA 70363 with Rev. Haywood Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.
She is survived by her stepmother, Augustine Griffin; five sons Willie, Tony, Kerry and Kevin Turner and Delray Hall; daughter, Iaisha Turner Roberson (Derrick); eight grandchildren; sister, Beverly Howard; brothers, Issac (Bernadine) and Floyd Howard (Linda), and Alex Griffin, Jr.; godchildren, Brian Howard, Schewone Myles and Colleen Simon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alec Griffin and Lessie Scott; brother, Joseph Chapman; sisters, Theresa Polly and Bessie Scott.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
