Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time 11:00 on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 549 Andrew St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Fabian, Christopher and Marcus Byrd; daughters, Wytika, Marchaun and Kimberly Byrd; five grandchildren; brothers, Charles Talley, Charles and Thomas Sims; sisters, Tina Westbrook, Michelle Talley and Connie Walker; godbrother, Arthur Lee Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Carven; parents, Charles, Sr. and Emily Butler Sims; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mary Butler; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Abbie Sims.
