Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home, 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, Louisiana 70360. Burial will follow in Bisland Cemetery, 366 Lower Country Dr, Bourg, Louisiana 70343.
She was born on July 12, 1955, to the late Issac and Carrie McKay Sr. She was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Freddie Moses at Moses Baptist Church.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Carrie McKay Sr., her daughter; Juanita Adams, great-grandson; Nova Adams, sister; Hazel McKay, brother; Isaac McKay Jr.; grandparents, Jasper and Paige Smith, and Eugene and Cloteal Moses McKay, nephews, Isaiah Castle and Randtrell Woods and a niece; Debra McKay.
She leaves to cherish her many memories, Melissa Adams, Karen Adams Smith (Willis), Aneisa Celestine (Jeffrey Wallis), Corey McKay and Robert Adams Jr., a sister; Betty McKay Castle (Edward Castle Jr.), 5 grandchildren; Kadijah Adams, Kyi Adams, Kyile Adams, Kyilyn Smith and Robertnesha McKay, 6 great-grandchildren, her aunt and godmother; Ora Mae Bradley, one godson; Quincy McKay, best friends, Peggy Jasper and Rodney Joseph and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
