Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Old Fountation Missionary Baptist Church located at 615 Highway 308 in Thibodaux, LA 70301 with Rev. McCullen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Livas Mathews; three sons, Charles Mathews Jr, Kendall Mathews and Myron Johnson; two daughters LaQuisha Mathews and Zanthipia Hills; his mother, Eula Mae Cheavis Mathews; six brothers, Lionell, Robert, Ulyssess, Hurley, Ronald and Gary Mathews; two sisters, Rebecca and Eula Mathews; daughter-in-law, Kishyne Lee-Livas; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son Toriano Livas Sr.; his father, Harry Mathews; his grandmother, Rebecca Johnson; and sibings, Audrey Allen, Mary Thomas, Lela Arcement, Michael and Harry Mathews Jr.
