Charles Lyons, Sr

Charles Lyons, Sr., 57, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Houma on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Viewing will be at Residence Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery. He is survived by his companion, Hazel Williams; one son, Charles R. Williams; two brothers, Albert (Beulah) Lyons, Sr. and William Lyons, Sr.; five stepbrothers, Lawrence Brown, James (Doris) Bingham, Roosevelt (Pam) Grant, Jonathan (Cherry) Brown, and Darrel (Dionne) Sander; four sisters, Elizabeth Smith, Evelyn (Leroy) Madison, Ida (Norman, Sr) Porche, and Ollie Lyons; four stepsisters, Faith (Rogers) Bartley, Marie Brown, Charlie (Andra) Howard, and Charlene (Dwayne) Morris; two sisters-in-law, Lula Thompson and Lillian Ann Lyons; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles Brown and Ida Mae Lyons; grandparents, William M. and Elizabeth Robinson-Smith; and three brothers, Joseph Thompson, Sr and Jessie J. and Eddie Lyons.
