Felix "The Boogie Man" Richard, Sr.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at First Jerusalem Baptist Church 835 Monnot Rd. Jeanerette, LA 70544, from 8:00 AM until funeral services at 1:30 PM. with Reverend Arthur Lee Alexander officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery of Jeanerette, LA.

Memories of "The Boogie Man" as he was known to many, will remain in the hearts of his wife of 10 years, Molly Falls Richard; his four children, Felix Richard, Jr. Juliesha Alexander, Julix Richard and Jody Richard; three other children he helped to rear as his own, Starsheka Lewis, Curtrell Hines, and Margo Falls; sixteen grandchildren, Ja'Vontrae, Ja'Calix, Tylan, Kayden, Azjohri, Jo'Nae, Halo, Justin, Jody, Dy'Vondrick, Jayden, Ziryelle, Z'Marion, Abreonte, Ashante and Malika; a son-in-law, Terrell Alexander, who he considered his own; fifteen siblings, Cleveland Gilbert (Eva), Abraham Gilbert, Sr. (Laura), Glenn Gilbert, Larry Richard (Janet), Carl Richard (Ava), Rita Marks (Cliff), Linda Clark (Dennis), Brenda Batiste, Gloria Richard, Elizabeth Moten (Shawn), Shirley Richard, Mary Ann Richard, Judy Lively (Albert), Joyce Ann Andrus (T-Otis) and Stacy Lynn Richard (Leo); five god-children, Kaisha, Nikitra, Ladaysha, San'Taisha and La'Karie; two aunts, Beatrice Boudreaux and Mary Viltz; one uncle, Edward Green; one sister-in-law, Delphine F. Lockette, the AD Crew, the work crew of Regional Fabricators and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Richard, Sr. and Joyce Marie Gilbert-Richard; first wife and mother of his four children, Judith T. Richard; two brothers, Solomon Richard and Donald Richard; a sister, Bertha Richard; maternal grandparents, Felix and Mary Gilbert and paternal grandparents, Solomon and Bertha Richard.
