Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church located at 146 Banks St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Union Benevolent Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Clara Williams Howard; sons, Kirk and Willie Howard (Mia); daughters, Clarice H. Lewis (Gerald) and Maryland "Melissa" Howard; twenty eight grandchildren; thirty great grand children; sister, Maude H. Parker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert "June" Alvis; grandchildren, Da'Ronte, Alise, Deonta and Damonte Howard; mother, Maryland Howard; brother, Charles Coleman; nephew, Dwayne Parker.
