Herbert Joseph Smith, Jr.

Visitation will be observed on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 9;00 AM until a rosary being recited at 10:00 AM at the St Luke Catholic Church 300 E 11th Street Thibodaux, LA 70301. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Rev. Msgr. Cletus Frank Egbi & Deacon Martin Dickerson will serve as Celebrants. Entombment will follow mass services in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA.

Memories of Herbert, Jr., will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Barbara Smith; their two children, Angela Marie (Richard) Smith-Mahoney and Craig Anthony Smith; one grandson, Aidan Paul Mahoney; two sisters Marion Stewart and Bernadette Jackson; one brother-in-law, Cornelius Burrell, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Hebert Jr., was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Joseph Smith, Sr. and Alberdia Hawkins Smith; his paternal grandparents, Robert Smith & Olivia Shelby; his maternal grandparents, Robert Hawkins, Sr. and Mary Lestrick-Hawkins; a brother, Leroy Smith, Sr. and a sister-in-law, Dolores Cook.
