Jessie “Peanut” Williams, Sr.

Jessie, Sr., "Peanut" as he was known to many will lie in state for a public walkthrough visitation on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Nazarene Baptist Church Highway 182 Verdunville, LA from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM with Associate Pastor Terry Gray, officiating the services. Burial will follow graveside services in the Nazarene Church Cemetery in Verdunville, LA. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 30, 2021

Memories of Jessie Sr., will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Shirley Ann Williams of Bunkie, LA; six sons, Jessie (Gwendolyn) Williams, Jr. of Houston, TX, Steven (Willonia) Williams of Verdunville, LA, John Williams and Derrick (Dawn) Williams both of Sioux City, IA and Wilfred (Christina) Williams of Kansas City, MO and Richard Williams of Milwaukee, WI; four daughters, Marion Williams of Clarksville, TN, Tessie (Jessie) St. Julien of Youngsville, LA, Anna Denise Sanders of Verdunville, LA and Jennifer Ina of Bunkie, LA; forty-two grandchildren, ninety-two great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Jessie Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, George & Leola Kirt Williams, Sr.; five brothers, George "Butt" Williams, Jr., Timothy "T. J." Williams, Albert Williams, Sr., Dave Williams and George Sote Williams and four sisters, Ora Mae Silas, Lucille Cleary, Dora Mae Peters and Edna Mae McDaniel.
