Lillian M Thomas, age 93 a native of Terrebonne Parish resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation will from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home 230 South Hollywood Road Houma, LA 70360. Visitation will resume on Friday, March28, 2025 at 9:00 AM until Funeral at 10:00 AM at Residence Baptist Church 2605 Isaac St Houma, LA. Rev. Howard Smith, Officiant. Burial will in Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church 2709 Senator St. Houma, LA 70363.
Lillian is survived by her children; Robertadine Stevenson, Gail M. Thomas - Hanzy and Brenda Johnson all of Houma, LA Deborah Thomas - Wright of San Leandro, CA, bonus daughter Rebecca Hite Saulmon Thomas Jr. of Gretna LA, Bernell and Allen Thomas of Houma, LA 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren one son-law Dywane Wright and one sister-in-law Lizzie Guidry
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Saulmon Thomas; her parents Willie Myles and Lizzie Cook; her stepmother Olivia Mama Sally Hite; her daughter Jacqueline Ann Thomas - Lewis; two grandsons George K Stevenson and Gerald Thomas; her sisters Hattie M. Craft, Florence M. Hite, Ethel M. Small, Rosemary M. Mills, Nida R. Campbell, Octavia R. Jenkins, Eunice Nero; one brother Sylvester Ruffin; maternal grandparents Walther and Nida Cook; paternal grandparents Jerry Daphney Jackson Myles
Being the wife of a pastor; Lillian served in many previous capacities; Choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Terrebonne Parish Woman's Day Association and Woman's Auxiliary of La Southern Baptist Association of the 5th District. She was formerly employed by TPSB as Food Technician and Foster Grandparent Program.
